Global Business Studies (GBS, internationally known as GLOBE) is an undergraduate business programme jointly offered by The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Copenhagen Business School (CBS), and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC).

GLOBE – Global Learning Opportunities in Business Education” has been a pioneer in business education at the undergraduate level in Hong Kong and also in the international education arena. It is designed to empower highly aspiring students with distinct business acumen, cultural fluency and entrepreneurial mindset, through an internationally-oriented curriculum and unique tri-continental learning experience, to become leaders who create meaningful impact in the global community.

KNOWLEDGE

Standing on the academic frontier, GLOBE offers an innovative curriculum that includes the best and most challenging business courses from the 3 top business schools. This is achieved with the expertise of each school, and by integrating the tailored, regional-focused classes on global business environment with hands-on projects on different industries.

While, GLOBE courses focus on case studies, international management issues, and the understanding of business climates around the world. CUHK students also have the option to select a second business concentration, a minor or second major offered by different faculties.

EXPERIENCE

Unlike other exchange opportunities, GLOBE admits around 15 elite students from each partner schools every year. They will study as an international cohort for 18 months.

Class-based learning is reinforced by study trips across the 3 continents, and other enrichment activities such as Global Business Forum, workshops on team effectiveness, case analysis, career planning, and company visits.

Their experience of living and working with their global counterparts allows them to fully integrate into and understand the nuances of the local cultures, developing their global mindset and essential skills to confront the challenges in the ever-changing business environment.

The 18 months of living and studying together helps build strong and long-lasting bonding within the class. Through various alumni engagement opportunities, students can develop connections across the uniquely global alumni network.
